The anticipation is mounting...

We are now just days away from announcing the most exciting event I think that this trainer has ever had the pleasure of participating in. Cobourg's very own Deputy Dave Cromlish will embark on the challenge of his life. Dave Cromlish hopes to take off 100 pounds of extra weight in a one year time frame and he has entrusted myself to assist him!

Am I up to the challenge... Is he?

When I first heard about this idea I was quite honestly skeptical...that's a good word. I have been in the personal training industry for 16 years and I love a good "success story" . Everyone loves a good before and after but who is kidding who... 100 POUNDS!!! that's alot of Pounds!!!!

I was asked the question... Is it possible.... well all things considered and favourably...Yes. Is it probable...Ummmm.

I agreed to meet this man. Mrs. Rhonda Cuningham of the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation was my date to this appointment. I was very unsure of any of this but I prefer optimism when I can afford to. Off to the police station.
I sat across a very large desk and listened to a very large man tell me his story. I liked him right off... , I however am a tough customer I've been told and demanded an additional meeting, I need him alone, under my scrutiny...my jury was still out.

My visitor came to me mid afternoon and we spent the better part of an hour together. I will say to all of you as a public declaration.

"Not only do I feel Mr.David Cromlish will achieve his goal of 100 pound weightloss within the next year, it will be nothing short of an honour and a priviledge to be the trainer by his side to help facilitate his journey."
I will do everything in my power to make that happen for him. I AM IN !!!!!

I beieve in this man. I feel Dave is a man of great character, compassion and discipline. He has bravely put his name and that very character on the line risking humiliation to bring about some good for the community he loves.
By taking on the daunting goal of losing 100 pounds and to better all of our lives as he raises donations for the Northumberland Hospital Foundation.

Gutsy, you bet!!!~

I will tell you all donation can be made through www.nocopoutchallenge.ca
I feel as donations are made this will infact help keep Dave strong as he sets out on a journey of a million steps let alone push-ups and lunges...

I will be blogging our workouts, progress, and pictures for those of you who wish to follow along, you are all invited!
As Dave wishes to enrich our lives, along side Northumberland hills hospital Foundation with his pledges and donations he will also be enriching our lives as individuals. We have an opportunity to witness a man taking control, embracing healthy lifestyle changes and the drama and angst that goes along with this most difficult transformations.

Thank you David for allowing us to be a part of, and share this experience with you, we hope we can help keep you strong. I know it is all of us who will be all the better for it.

  1. Oh Andrea, I just LOVED THIS, it actually brought tears to my eyes. I know with your help you can pull Dave through this. I am learning so much myself and am really pumped to help in any way that I can. My goal it to keep Dave with me as long as earthly possible. I know through this we will find some challenges, but mostly reflect on a great journey together. We have a great relationship, for which I am truly greatful, and would love to share him with as many people for as long as I can. We really look forward to our future together as healthier partners. My family has been a terrific source of support, and you have been a truly amazing character in this amazing story of heartfelt human journey to not only help himself but the community at the same time. Thank you for that. He may call you the sarge, but I call you my miracle worker. I know you will succeed, as I know that Dave is determined. God Bless you all.
