How far we have come, and how far we are going...

Today was a very interesting day. Here at Bodilogix we has a preliminary meeting with regards to our next big challenge. The 100 kilometer "just for the health of it" Walk. I see we are going to have quite an event on our hands and I for one am in fact up for the Challenge. I along with a core group of the organizing team enjoyed a planning chat with our man Dave and was myself very impressed with how much of the "leg work" Dave has already been on to. He is seriously invested in completing this new challenge and I love seeing his enthusiasm for these new and exciting events in his life.

He even signed on for a bootcamp here at Bodilogix starting Tuesday November 10th. Yes we have glass windows but please no paparazzi... I am excited to introduce our man Dave to my Bootcamp Class ! I know he is going to love it and get great results and although it may further strain our relationship I am determined to get him down the 80 pounds for Christmas. i know that is the best Christmas presents Dave could give Dave and I will do all I can to facilitate that.

David has a date for tomorrow with yours truly and I am off to design tomorrows torture... I mean "training program."

I heard there was a Polar bear in Cobourg on Sunday...

Howdy Bloggers, Sorry for my absenteeism, I've been in negotiations for the "coming soon" made for T.V movie called, "Ol Lardy Buns" the sequel... again, I do apologize. Its a tragedy...

So I have heard "Our Man Dave" has been out logging some training for the up coming insanity known as the "butterball run. That is exciting! I am very excited Dave has embraced this idea and is keen to take on this additional challenge above and beyond that first milestone goal of the 100 pounds Dave is currently shedding.
At over half way to achieving that goal it is good to set ones eyes on new challenges and really put this new body we are building Dave to the test. As Dave's trainer this is what really excites me. I am myself quite anxious to test my own resolve by his side. I am looking very forward to getting some good hikes in as part of our training.

I put it out to the fans of the Blog to come out with us for a wander in the Hills and take in the amazing scenery and topography Northumberland County offers all of us. I promise I will bring a compass.... and snacks.

Big Dave's training is right on target and we are able more and more to try new things and "up the intensity". I am really enjoying my time with Big Dave as I can see as it is so very obvious that he firmly enjoys his time here at Bodilogix and has not only become Family but sits at the head of the table.
Our Dave embodies everything Bodilogix is. Supportive, sincere, and from the heart.

Tomorrows Legs Big Guy, Bring your game.

Turning the other cheek...

So it's been a few days since I've written and I apologize.... I can just imagine the buzz, "where oh where is Miss Trainer Andrea?" Fear not. I was in negotiations for the movie rights for the upcoming "David and Andrea's adventures in fitness" cable series...

I am kidding but if you caught the show on cogeco and you liked it.... call them or e-mail them and maybe they will invite us back for more "Coffee Talk" with David Glover. I enjoyed myself quite abit...

Speaking of which I am not sure if any of you have noticed any differences in our David "characterwise" but I must spill....
The other day after filming when we were set to leave cogeco I could'nt help but notice the "screamimg" fashion statement our man Dave was all about...

Police "colottes". Yup, I bet they are all the range in the big cities. Flattering really. Nice look for the men in blue.... Loose, not binding like other pants. Flowy, airy, whispy... They seem to say "hey, look at me", I am beautiful, a man of style and leisure". Nice, refreshing, like an ice cold glass of lemonade on a hot day.

I can see "the look" really catching on... Keep your eyes out people and hats off to our man Dave for taking the "plunge" and really spreading his wings in the fashion realm... good on ya fella...

Lights, Camera, Action....

Well that was one for the books... Dave Cromlish and I will be featured on a new and hot episode of your favourite local cable show... you know the one... Municipal matters. Great stuff guys. The spot should be airing tomorrow evening (Wednesday Sept 30) we think around 6:00pm but we will confirm tomorrow.

Apparently we are having a inpromptu "cogeco viewing sit in" on the famous red leather couch here at Bodilogix HQ. Dave was great... he really is quite a good public speaker. I was in awe at how well he handled the "tough" questions... especially about the one when he is asked about his thoughts on ladies corsets... just making sue you were paying attention, regardless I am sure you won't want to miss it.

I am hoping the weigh-in is good this week and we get to that goal of a 60 pound loss for thanksgiving however having read Dave's confessions of the weekend I know what I have to do tomorrow... Tomorrow is "legs" and I will smack the snot out of Dave and get that nuptial dinner scared off his you know what before it has time to land... the confession does explain a little more about the lack of whining on Dave's part when I put on the pressure....

Dave has been really giving it his all in the gym and we are able to try new things almost every workout... This truely is the fun part of my role in this project... Watching Dave amaze himself at his own new found abilities as we continue to open up the doors to other physical endeavors to be enjoyed. What will we do next, Zip lining, rock climbing, skydiving... who knows....

That's our man....

Well you can all just imagine the joy one feels when the student is "getting it.." I mean really "getting it..."
I'm going to stick my neck out on this one...
I believe...
David Cromlish will never be on another "diet" in his life...
I'd even venture to say David Cromlish will always maintain some level of physical activity in his life long after he says good by to this 100 pounds we are in the midst of shedding.

Although Dave may mix-up the "lingo" from time to time... (Bosu Ball) not (Buso Ball) David is truly learning the true meaning of "self respect". David is interested in understanding the amazing biological machine he is and we all are and giving it what it needs to run efficiently and at its very best.

As we clock our three workouts weekly I am feeling far more freedom as David's trainer to test his limits, both cardiovascular as well as in terms of overall strength. When I think of where we were 3 months ago to where we are now.. it really boggles the mind. It is a real testament to Dave and to the acceptance of the the theory that no matter where you are at, change is possible. I am reminded of our first walks together and how obviously uncomfortable the big guy was in his own body. I think Dave is learning every day about himself and what he is capable of... I also think the best of Dave is yet to come. I for one am happy to be along for the ride.

A beautiful day for a hike...

Well wasn't the weather just a gift yesterday... that was Sunday for those on the time delay reading this fine blog.

As part of our on going devotion to embracing a healthy active lifestyle I had suggested to big Dave that we once again "take it outside"!!! This time we would leave the streets of Cobourg behind and head out into the nature ... The nature of hiking... and why not, we need to get a little time out on the trails as part of the next crazy phase of Dave and Andrea's excellent adventure. You will hear all about our upcoming proposed expedition soon enough. (We will be walking til our feet fall off...)

My husband David and I decided on a 2km hike as a mild introduction to an activity my fella introduced me to quite sometime ago... we are talking hiking people.
Picture it... Northumberland Hills Forest...
The trail was to be the Orange trail... low and behold it was a wee bit overgrown with poison ivy and as much as I love a good hike, unless we hang glide no one was going to get out of this one unscathed... It was nothing but Poison Ivy!

Plan B

I thought perhaps the blue trail that I believe is frequented more often offered a wider path and less chance of dancing with the Ivy.
..Nope....

Plan C

Didn't really have one... not a worry however, we found a wide sandy logging road by the look of it and really... every road has to go somewhere... or does it? Hhhmmm.

Plan D
Keep walking... smile a lot and tell a good anecdote periodically so no one smells uncertainty or fear...

Plan E
Keep walking...just keep walking... Keep smiling, smiling smiling, just keep smiling....

Plan F
Ask the wanna-be motorcross champion dude with the nice threads for directions...he's fast, he's loud,he's well dressed...
... but then again so am I...

Nice fella, the Dave's give him the questions but this boy is definitely lost.. in more ways than one if you get what I am saying. We pressed on ...

So much for the 2k hike. I think our route was closer to 4.5km and I am happy to say we were all in good spirits and "our man Dave" was doing great and handling our debacle like a pro. We got one cool cucumber on our hands and that's a good thing/ Next years 100km "oops" make that 600 km hike should be a breeze...

Its all in the training people...

Ever closer to the Goal !!!!

Sneaky monkey that Cromlish.... He should know by now how I fret and shimmy with anticipation for the "word" on Thursday mornings.... You know the "W" word .... "weight-in"...
This morning was like every other Thursday morning... stressful!!!!! very stressful !!!!!!

Low and behold my boyfriend must have been super stealthy on the entrance today because I did not see let alone hear that fella wondering in... Gone is the old familiar A&W soundtrack as we discussed sometime ago...but now he is damn near "cat like".

The others attending the breakfast club workout time slot alerted me to our man Dave's attendance. "Hey", I was afraid to ask he looked so serious... My blood runs cold...Ohhhh he's GOOOODDD with that Stoicism... dead pan... can't read him...he gives nothing away...I feel for his kids!!!! I feel like it's been an hour already.... "WELL!!!!".....

and then there it is... A smile and a hand of five fingers held up high for the anticipating audience that surrounds probably feeling the same pins and needles as I did. Bodilogix breaks out in cheers !!!! Down another five !!!!
We replay the last weeks events, what we anticipated and for a brief minute and only a minute we are satisfied...
and just like that... we are looking forward to our next goal. "We will have the fifty off by our Television debut I say all business". Cromlish looks in the air reviewing the dates and days leading up... "should just get it, it's doable but pretty tight. Like the well oiled machine this team operates as we separate and go about our morning today tasks in the gym, Cromlish hits the treadmill and I get under a stack on the leg press... I am working on my own buns of steel forever the student.

44 pounds down my friend... am I proud of our Dave... Your dam right !!!! My wheels turn as I review the week in my own head. I won't change a thing this week. stay the course, keep the program as is, its bearing fruit. I realize my thoughts are already winding up and I am already getting nervous anticipating next Thursday.
